How To Set Up Your Launch Website Hosting

This tutorial is specifically for Compass Production Launch Website clients only.

If you are viewing this guide, your website has already either been completed, approved, or is currently in the final editing process. The only thing left now is setting up your hosting account, registering your domain name, and giving Compass Production admin access so your website can be migrated from the staging platform over to your live hosting account.

Once completed, your website can be connected and launched live.


Important Before Starting

  • Use a desktop or laptop computer whenever possible
  • Avoid using a phone or tablet for setup
  • Set aside about 10–15 minutes
  • Have your payment information ready
  • Think carefully about your domain name before purchasing

Step 1 — Open The Hostinger Link

Open the Hostinger affiliate link above.

Once the page opens, you will see multiple hosting plans available.

For Launch Website clients, you should ONLY select:

Premium Web Hosting

Do NOT choose:

  • Business Hosting
  • Cloud Hosting
  • VPS Hosting
  • Any higher-tier plans

The Premium plan already includes everything needed for your Launch Website and is the exact plan recommended for all standard Launch Website setups.

It includes:

  • Website hosting
  • Free SSL security
  • Free domain for the first year
  • Website migration tools
  • WordPress support
  • Drag-and-drop website editing
  • Professional website performance

Step 2 — Select The Premium Plan

Under the Premium Web Hosting option, click:

Premium

Hostinger usually provides the best pricing when selecting the 48-month option.

This is normally the best overall value and keeps your yearly hosting cost extremely low compared to shorter-term renewals.

For most small businesses, this is the recommended option.


Step 3 — Choose Your Domain Name

Your domain name is your website address.

Examples:

  • yourbusiness.com
  • yourcompanyname.com

Try to keep your domain:

  • short
  • simple
  • easy to spell
  • easy to remember

Whenever possible:

  • avoid dashes
  • avoid unusual spellings
  • avoid long names

In most cases, the .com version is recommended if available.

Once you find the domain you want, continue to checkout.


Step 4 — Complete Checkout

During checkout, Hostinger may automatically suggest additional upgrades or services.

Most Launch Website clients do NOT need additional upgrades at this stage.

The only things needed are:

  • The Premium hosting plan
  • Your domain name

Complete the checkout process and create your Hostinger account.

Once completed, you will be brought into your Hostinger dashboard.


Step 5 — Give Compass Production Admin Access

After your account has been created and your domain has been connected, the next step is giving Compass Production admin access to your Hostinger account.

This allows your website to be:

  • migrated properly
  • connected correctly
  • configured securely
  • launched live

Hostinger allows access to be shared professionally without sharing your password.

Once you are inside your Hostinger dashboard, you should see a URL similar to:

hpanel.hostinger.com

You may already be on the Home or Domains section after completing setup.

To give access:

  • Go to the top-right corner of the screen
  • Click your profile icon
  • A dropdown menu will appear
  • Click:

Account Sharing

Once inside the Account Sharing area:

  • You will see:
    • Request Access
    • Give Access
  • Click:

Give Access

You will then be asked which email address you want to share access with.

Enter:

NicholasRies@compassproductionamdg.com

Next, Hostinger will ask:

“Which services would you like to share?”

Select:

All Services

At the bottom of the page, you will also see:

Assign Role

Make sure this is set to:

Admin

Once everything is selected correctly, click:

Give Access

Hostinger will then send a verification code to your email address.

  • Open your email
  • Copy the verification code
  • Return to Hostinger
  • Enter the code to confirm access

Once completed, your setup is finished and Compass Production will now have the access needed to migrate your website from the staging platform to your live hosting account.

At this point, you are done with setup and can continue exploring your Hostinger dashboard while your website is prepared for launch.


What Happens Next?

Once your hosting account and domain are fully connected:

  • your website will be migrated live
  • your domain will be connected
  • SSL security will be activated
  • your website will become publicly accessible online

In most cases, this process is completed shortly after admin access is provided.
